Moulin Rouge

I have always imagined myself going to Moulin Rouge but when I am really there, I feel that it's indeed so normal and not at all glamourous like what i see on TV! In fact it's a big difference from what I saw in the movie Moulin Rouge. The place is actually quite small. But the signature windmill is still there but it's not really that big. However it's one of the most expensive shows in Paris. I really would like to watch it one day... I took a few photos there and David also took us to eat buffet lunch that day! It was quite a hearty lunch although I didn't have enough because they were in a hurry to get out...
That particular day, we did nothing much... in the morning we went to the flea market near our hotel before we went to meet David and Kang... after that we went past Moulin Rouge.. AT first we thought that we could not get a ticket to leave paris to Venice... Ying and I were kind of happy cos we could spend more time with Kang they all...
After having lunch near Moulin Rouge, we went to La sacre coeur... It was an old church on top of a hill.. there were people tying friendship bracelets and it was considered as a lucky bracelet for blessing... I still have it with me.. Along the way we watched a guy performed a rather unique show.. I don't really know how to describe it..and I don't know what it is called...When we came out of La sacre coeur, we went to sit down... The guys sat on the grass patch while Ying and I walked further down to find a proper seat.... when we were taking a photo, some French guy suddenly just sat beside me and took a photo with me... I was thinking, "does he think he was very handsome that I would like to take a photo with him???" I was really shocked and held onto my bag, thinking that he will snatched it away at any instance. Luckily he purely wanted to take a photo and later on he just left. What a crazy guy!!
We went to David's house later on... it was really out of the city centre and a far walk from the station but nevertheless, we enjoyed ourselves there because Kang cooked. I helped him a little. Kang was really proud of cooking a meal for us and he was really glad that we enjoyed the meal.. It was kind of like a fusion meal... a little westernized chinese fried rice! Haha.
Actually we wanted to go to a dance club at night but in the end, it was cancelled because Alex couldn't make it!! We were really disappointed as we had dressed up for the occasion! So sad! ANyway, it was quite a boring day, we did nothing much.. the only consoling part was that we had a good lunch and dinner! :)
