Going to Rhine Valley
In the morning, I had a nice little breakfast with scrambled eggs, ham, beans, bread, juices, cereals and milk. We went back to Romers, as I wanted to buy a jacket. In the end, I didn't as the shops were still closed because of the christian holiday.
We made our way back to hotel and carried our stuff to Frankfurt main station. I was hoping to see the main river which I did yesterday but not today. Anyway, we were ready to go to Niederheimbach which was quite exciting for me because it's near River Rhein with lots of castles to visit there. The train was excellent and comfortable and its name was KE. We had to change train at Mainz station and then to Niederheimbach.
As we approached the stop, we were so silly. It was stopping on the platform so we thought we couldn't get down. But ZQ was like shouting, " open the door, quickly" then ying was like saying," we are on the grass" haha actually we had to open the door and go through the grass. Anyway, the train moved off and we ended up in Bacharach, a small little town. We were really flustered because we didn't know what to do at first. We needed to go back to Niederheimbach as soon as possible because we had asked the hotel people to come and fetch us at the train station. As ZQ made his way to asked someone about the train, we were hoping that the next train will come quickly. Luckily it was coming in ten minutes to Niederheimbach. So we carried our luaggage back to the other side of the station platform and I was exceptionally happy to reach Niederheimbach and see a guy whose name was Wolver, the hotel boss's good friend. He offered to help me carry my luaggage and we saw the boss later on. He was really cute, plump guy!! On reaching our hotel, we were surprised that it was such a lovely place. There was a garden surrounding the hotel. By the way the hotel's name was Hotel Bergschlobchen. It looked like a small cosy family house. There was a restaurant inside as well. As we got the keys to our room, I was shocked but delighted that we had such a big cosy room!!! with a balcony mind u!! Haha... Even the bathroom was great! After putting down our luaggage, we went out with Wolver and his daughter. He drove us to Boppard where we could take a ship down the River Rhine. We walked around Boppard and Ying bought a blue scarf on that day which u will see her wearing it in the next few photos. well, LaTER ON, we bought tickets for the cruise ride to St Goar.
On the cruise, we sat down the chairs and enjoyed viewing the scenery. I felt very peaceful. The little houses, cottages castles on the hills was simply breathtaking. It was simply picturesque.
On reaching St Goar, we went to find a big castle that Wolver recommended. IT was Named Burg Rheinfels. It was located on the top of a cliff and we had to climb up. It was a hotel as well as a visitor's attraction.
Exploring the castle was really fun. There were many dark holes, many tunnels and lovely sceneries from the towers. There were many children there. We took lots of pictures and walked around for 2 to 2 and a half hours before heading back to the train station, and then back to the hotel. Wolver came to fetch us again at Niederheimbach. In the hotel we went to bathe and requested a full lodge meal as well. It was time to feast in Rhine Valley, one of the most beautiful landscape scenery ever. HahA. The food was super large and I had a few bowls of asparagus soup in the nicely decorated dining room. It was too salty for me. However the next few dishes were good. Chicken with ham and cheese and some kind of vegetables wrapped inside. There were also potatoes fried with butter and made into little petite cakes and cauliflower. C'est Deliceux!! This dinner was cooked by the boss's son!! very good meal.
I was feeling really high after the meal and I laughed non stop. My friends thought I was crazy! HaHA.... IT was sleeping time finally and off to sleep we go!!!!
