1st day in europe
I arrived in Frankfurt the next morning. It was so cold. I was shocked. It was freezing and I had not enough clothing. I had to buy a jacket I thought to myself!!! However, the shops were all closed today because it was a christian holiday!! From the train station to our hotel was around 100m away. The name of the hotel was "Tourist Hotel". After putting down our bags, we went to ask the receptionist if there are any interesting places to visit in Frankfurt. He actually told us, " you are in an economic city, there's nothing interesting" My gosh, I felt a surge of unhappiness as I thought that it's going to be such a boring day!!! We walked out of our hotel and happened to pass by a museum. It's name was " Das Stadel"!! It was really nice from the outside but I didn't really feel that it was very interesting even though there were many many lovely paintings.
After admiring the paintings, we went out of the museum. It was really cold outside. I was feeling too cold. There were beautiful buildings like Frankfurt Hof Hotel.
Later on, we met a guy named Lory from Ireland. He asked us if we wanted to take a picture together. Later on, he was really friendly and he gave me his namecard. He said that if i ever go to IRELAND, go and look for him. Heehee... well then later on, his friend, Veronica introduced nice places to go to in Frankfurt. They brought us to the Main tower... It was really good at the top looking at the whole of Frankfurt.
After leaving the Main tower, we went to Romer to eat lunch. It was a good place where there are many cute buildings and there were a few lovely churches like St Paul's Church and Domer.
Domer was really big and the structure was unique. I lighted a candle and make a wish.
After that, we went to the alt.opera house and took some photos before we return to the hotel. We actually decided to try to board the train without buying a ticket and in the end we got caught and got fined.. haha... In the end the conductor only charged two of us and I got free. Luckily nothing serious happened and we went back to the hotel feeling a little upset even though it was a great day!
